Presentation of the Research Network Red de Traducción en el Ámbito Universitario
by Celene García Ávila
The purpose of this talk is to introduce the Research Network Red de Traducción en el Ámbito Universitario that has been operating since 2018 and was created by some Prodep academic groups. It has been evaluated twice by the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México. We would like to make this Research Network grow with new members. The main objective of this academic network is the creation of colaborative relationships among different institutions whose interest is focused on translation. This Network was created to describe and analyze research topics centered in translation. Mainly, participants are professors who work at Mexican universities from several states, such as Baja California. Guanajuato, Veracruz, Quintana Roo, Guanajuato, Tamaulipas, Mexico City, Guerrrero and the State of Mexico. Some of these institutions have their own translation programs, but some others only offer an emphasis , so students as well as teachers are almost "invisible".
