Hybrid Flexible: Teaching Outside the Box

This presentation will observe some Hybrid Flexible (Hyflex) challenges and will share some tips on how to provide equity and inclusion in this course format delivery. The approach we use to facilitate learning experiences for our students can have a significant impact on the way they work and learn. Instructors must redefine their approaches to teaching online pedagogy at the college level. Effective integration of technology can make a difference in language learning. Students in digital learning environments must take more personal responsibility for their learning but if instructors don’t facilitate meaningful activities, this may represent quite a challenge. We must design effective Hyflex courses by providing equity and inclusion and creating a supportive course community.
