Juan Manuel Chávez Garza

Juan Manuel Chavez Garza earned his Master’s degree in English Education from Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México, and he holds a C2 certification from Cambridge and Trinity respectively. Furthermore, he has wide ranging experience teaching English certification courses to students and teachers at all levels of the Common European Framework of Reference, as well as preparing English teachers for the Cambridge Teaching Knowledge Test (TKT). He currently works as a full-time teacher for Instituto Politécnico Nacional, CECyT 16 Hidalgo, and he also works for UAEH as an author and editor of some of their English books and corresponding platform material.

Although he finished an associate degree and other courses in the USA, he credits his mastery of the English language to extensive reading in myriad subject areas, including poetry. He believes his success in learning and teaching English is best summarized by the lines of one of his favorite poems by Robert Frost, having “[taken the road] less travelled by / And that has made all the difference.”
