Patricia Evelyn Grounds Reynolds (Pat, please!) was born in Cambridge, England and received a BA in German Language and Letters from the University of Reading, an MA in Applied Linguistics from the University of Kent, and a PhD in Educational Innovation from Christ Church University, Canterbury.
After graduating, at a young age she began her professional career as a language teacher in Germany, Poland, and Lebanon, arriving in Mexico in 1981. Here, she has dedicated her professional life to teaching, teacher training, research, the publication of books and articles, among other activities, through several national, international (SEP/British Council, University of Southampton/British Council, IPN/British Council) and institutional collaborations, for example, with the UV, the UJED, the UAEH, the UAdeC, Cambridge assessment. She is a regular speaker at national and international virtual and face-to-face professional events and is she committed to trying to understand evolution processes, of our society, of our profession, and of our selves.
